Practical guidelines for running successful process analysis pilots

Large organizations typically perform a Proof-Of-Concept / Pilot with an enterprise process analysis tool, before expanding use of such a tool. Such pilots may last from one to two business weeks, and are intended to verify vendor claims and compare actual features / benefits of the vendor's solution with the organization's expectations and needs. In many of these pilots customer organizations are eager to expose their staff directly, to as much of the actual use of the tools, as possible.

This presentation was given to a joint audience of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and Department of Defense Personnel at "BENS Supporting the War fighter - One year later" session hosted at the ARMY/Navy club in Washington DC.

The session focused on the implementation of logistical and procurement process improvements within the branches of the military through the application of commercial tools such as the Supply-Chain Operations Reference - model (SCOR).
